The 2nd Supermoon of 2025:
As November’s chill begins to settle in, the year’s second supermoon graced the sky — a moment to ground ourselves and gather strength for the winter ahead. The full moon reached its peak on November 5th, carrying the reflective energy of what’s known as the Mourning Moon.
This moon invites us to honor our ancestors — the people whose lives and stories shape our roots. It’s a time to look back, to trace where we come from, and to recognize the threads that connect us to those who came before.
The moon entered its second day in the house of Taurus and will remain there until November 7th, grounding this time in stability and reflection. As a Taurus myself, I always feel an extra sense of connection when the moon moves through my sign.
November 5th also holds deep personal meaning for me — it marks the anniversary of my Oma’s passing. These moon shots are different than my others. The way the clouds drifted across the face of the moon made it appear almost submerged in water. In some of my shots, you can even make out faint, ghostly faces hidden in the clouds — as if the spirits themselves were watching.
For my fellow witches and stargazers, a quick note: Starting November 9th 2025 - Mercury remains in retrograde until November 29th — so tread gently and trust your intuition. Also the next supermoon comes on December 4th 2025.
